The Opportunity

Recreating a US restaurant to test Kiwi tastebuds.

Iconic restaurant chain, In-N-Out has fans all over the world, but is only located in the States. The company wanted to test the market in New Zealand, so Uno Loco worked with In-N-Out to recreate a traditional restaurant experience.

Our Approach

It was out job to create a pop up restaurant for In-N-Out Burger to activate the brand. One small advert in a local newspaper was the only marketing required for word to spread like wildfire. Together with the team at Auckland’s Pocket Bar and Kitchen, we transformed their kitchen and restaurant into the famous American food chain. Uno Loco managed everything right down to the size of the tomato, cheese slice and burger. It all had to be bang on.

The Impact

In-N-Out was thrilled with the results. The event was immediately embraced by the public and sold out. People queued for over an hour to get their hands on a delicious burger. Intense organic media coverage ensured that guests had to be in quick to get a chance to purchase.
