Partners Life

Partners Life wanted to create something truly special for women within the insurance industry - an experience that went beyond business. The aim was to bring a group of advisers together not for another conference or seminar, but for a moment of connection, reflection and celebration.

Opportunity

This was an opportunity to design an experience that felt restorative and rewarding – something that spoke to the richness of New Zealand’s landscape and the generosity of shared experience. By shifting away from the typical format of panels and presentations, we could create an environment where conversation flowed naturally, connections deepened and inspiration happened over shared meals and laughter.

Our response

We invited forty female advisers from across Aotearoa to Queenstown’s Royalburn Farm - the home of chef and farmer Nadia Lim - for a day steeped in flavour, warmth and beauty. Guests were welcomed into the rhythms of the farm, exploring the land and hearing firsthand how passion, sustainability and purpose come together to create something extraordinary.

The day unfolded with guided tastings, hands-on experiences and shared meals that celebrated the best of local produce - each course telling a story of provenance and care. Throughout the experience, small surprises and thoughtful details helped weave a sense of intimacy and delight, ensuring every guest felt personally considered.

As evening descended, the group moved to Kamana Lakehouse for a luxurious overnight stay. A beautifully crafted dinner overlooking the lake brought the day to a close, followed by a gourmet breakfast the next morning. Each guest departed with a bespoke gift bag - a keepsake to carry the warmth of the experience home.

What made it special

Every element of the Royalburn experience was designed to feel personal, grounded and real. The event struck a delicate balance between indulgence and authenticity - blending fine food and luxury with moments of reflection, storytelling and laughter. It was an unforgettable escape that celebrated women supporting women in business, reminding guests that connection itself can be the most inspiring investment of all.
