Bayleys
The Bayleys Awards is the company's annual celebration recognising the achievements of its people from across New Zealand. Following a full day of conference sessions, more than 1,200 guests gathered at Spark Arena for the largest Bayleys Awards to date. Each year, Uno Loco develops a new creative identity, ensuring the evening feels fresh while carrying the energy of the conference into the celebration.

The awards evening needed to feel like a natural progression from the conference, shifting from business to celebration without losing momentum. The challenge was to create an atmosphere that felt polished, welcoming and worthy of recognising the achievements of Bayleys people, while giving returning guests a new experience each year.
Opportunity
The Bayleys Awards provided an opportunity to shape the atmosphere of the evening through thoughtful design. From the arrival experience to the final dance, every touchpoint was considered to build anticipation, encourage connection and create a memorable celebration for everyone in the room.
Our response
Inspired by the Accelerate theme, we developed a contemporary design language built around chrome finishes, mirrored surfaces and layered lighting. More than 155 metres of LED screens, evolving motion content and dynamic stage layouts created movement throughout the evening, while thousands of candles introduced warmth and intimacy. Portrait photography, live entertainment and carefully considered styling completed an experience that seamlessly transitioned guests from conference to celebration.
What made it special
Delivering a polished event is the expectation. Our focus was on how the environment evolved throughout the evening. By carefully choreographing lighting, motion content, screen layouts and staging, we built atmosphere as the night unfolded, carrying guests from formal presentations into celebration. It demonstrates how creative design and technical production work together to shape not just how an event looks, but how it feels.
