The Opportunity

Up-close positive actions for performance fans

The FIA World Rally Championship returned to New Zealand for the first time since 2012 - and we’re proud to be sponsoring a world class event that kiwis across the country can get behind.

Our Approach

This was a moment to show their support the WRC Rally NZ, and their Rally NZ Ambassador Hayden Paddon with the Hyundai NZ rally team. Since the mid-2000s the Hyundai brand in New Zealand has grown from strength to strength. The future of the brand is looking incredibly exciting with new EV vehicles range to promote. Hyundai valued being seen as a ‘future positive’ choice for it’s team and customers. 100 competitors and their teams will be set up in the Service Park. Fans will be able to watch as the cars are serviced by their teams throughout the event. The WRC teams will have interactive displays allowing fans to get up close and personal with the teams in a way unique to rallying. We wanted to leverage this high foot traffic area with a “race themed” activation that will position Hyundai as a premium brand that’s contributing to a positive future in New Zealand. This space was engaging and relevant with a wide appeal with motor fans, female and younger audiences.

The Impact

The guests were informed & reassured about our products and the future of Hyundai. The activation was maximised, delivering awareness and conversation about the future of the brand and what this means for Kiwis.
