Woolworths Annual Expo, Conference and Awards
Building on a long-standing partnership with Woolworths NZ, Uno Loco was once again tasked with producing the annual Woolworths Experience. This multi-day extravaganza blends an expo, business conference and awards programme, bringing together suppliers and team members from across the motu.

The challenge was to create an experience that inspired, informed and celebrated excellence while keeping the magic alive at every interaction point.
Opportunity
With five years under our belt producing this event, the 2025 edition was the perfect chance to raise the bar. The theme needed to feel festive and immersive, the content engaging and cohesive and every attendee had to leave feeling part of something bigger than a conference — a Christmas-inspired journey of discovery, creativity and connection.
Our response
The 2025 theme, Magic Behind Every Door, was inspired by an advent calendar and became the foundation of the event’s visual identity. A suite of bespoke 3D icons drawn from New Zealand summer, Christmas motifs and Woolworths branding, popping up across presentations, breakout spaces and physical installations. Each day opened with a 3D animated video introducing the icons and messaging, setting the tone with whimsy, inspiration and just the right amount of festive sparkle.
The main stage wowed guests with projection-mapped Christmas trees, while the expo floor buzzed with suppliers bringing their stands to life with creativity and innovation. We also produced a themed gift-giving activation in support of the Salvation Army, turning Santa’s Workshop into a hive of elves collecting and sorting over 800 presents for Kiwi kids in need.
What made it special
This wasn’t just an event — it was an experience. Every door revealed a new moment of delight, every 3D icon added a touch of magic and the entire programme celebrated the creativity, energy and generosity of everyone involved. Feedback from attendees, suppliers and the Woolworths team was overwhelmingly positive, proving that even after five years, the Woolworths Experience can still surprise, inspire and make Christmas feel a little more magical for all.
