Each year, the Angel Association gathers some of Aotearoa’s most visionary investors for a summit unlike any other. Our task: to help bring that annual moment to life by crafting an experience that reflects the calibre of the people in the room and the ambition of the ideas being shared.

The challenge was to find venues that were anything but ordinary and to infuse the day with moments of refinement and warmth that made it feel effortlessly high-end.

Opportunity

Having worked alongside the Angel Association team for several years, this was an opportunity to build on that trust - to evolve the event while keeping its soul intact. Each summit offers a fresh canvas: a new location, a new rhythm, a chance to surprise guests and lift them out of the everyday. Our goal was to find a space that felt both grounded and elevated - a retreat from the city that would let big ideas breathe.

Our response

We treated the summit as a legacy event with a living pulse - something that could be reimagined each year while still feeling unmistakably “Angel”. From the first welcome to the final glass of wine, every detail was curated with care. The design, flow and tone of the day were shaped to create a sense of calm and connection - a beautifully composed environment where conversations could deepen and ideas could take flight.

What made it special

This year’s summit unfolded in a venue that felt like a discovery in itself; far from the familiar, imbued with a quiet kind of luxury. Every touchpoint was deliberate: the setting, the textures, the small gestures that signalled care. As the day drew to a close, guests gathered over exceptional food and wine, surrounded by good company and the kind of energy that only comes from shared ambition. It was a summit not just to attend, but to feel - a celebration of vision, collaboration and the spaces in between.
