Opportunity: Our Luxury Group Travel and Event Planning team were invited to create a bespoke premium itinerary for a small group of graduates from the 1991 Harvard Business Programme. It was the first visit to New Zealand for most of these high net worth individuals accustomed to luxury travel experiences and service.

Solution: The group asked us to chose the best timing for their visit, and to design a showcase of New Zealand’s best experiences within their nine day timeframe. 18 months out we planned for 30 couples which eventually became 11, having a significant affect on the budget and programme design. However we were able to source the finest premium five star accommodation, service, food and beverage that would enable us to lodge the entire group. We executed a wide variety of bespoke ‘once-in-a-lifetime’ activities taking in private viewings, golf, 5 star picnics and luxury resorts in the Bay of Islands, and a once-in-a life-time beach BBQ experience with one of New Zealand’s most famous chefs. Further south the group were welcomed into Peter Jackson’s private museums before embarking on safaris, wine tasting, horse riding, shooting, private opera, croquet, culminating in a final night party and special gift ceremony to the group.

Result: Blessed with phenomenal weather, the trip was a huge success. We were excited to be part of such a special experience, and felt honoured to be asked to develop special itineraries for some of the couples travelling on throughout New Zealand, Tasmania and the Gold Coast.
