Opportunity: As a global business Fonterra needed a consistent onboarding experience for new starters across diverse business units and many countries
Challenge: Fonterra required a digital solution that helped new-starts understand and embrace the values, mission and purpose of the cooperative. The solution also needed to accelerate the journey to personal comfort and productivity for people joining new teams and environments
Our Solution: People make human connections while sharing food. We developed a customised portal based upon this concept, using first person storytelling to establish Fonterra as a food company with a sense of noble purpose. The people gathered at the table on the splash page were not heads of divisions or territories but stakeholders. The portal covers pre-boarding and employee’s first 3 months, tracking progress, compliance and participation, and prompting tasks and activity.
